Vieques and More!

Many of my dear friends asked me to keep in touch and tell them all about my adventures when I moved to Vieques. At first, we communicated by texting to each other, but over time that became complicated, and it was hard for people to stay on topic. Many of the things I have written there have been erased, and if I want to give them more permanency, I have to write them all over again in a place where they can stick around for a while longer.

So I’m starting over in this blog. I have arbitrarily subscribed everyone who used to like to hear from me. Each of you will get an email every time I post something. If you like what I write here, you may share the link with friends. Also, just as in text messages, you may comment and add your own input. I imagine it will be easier for us to stay on topic when comments are related to specific blogs.

Be sure to notice the other topic headings, Viewpoints, and Vignettes, with writings about things other than Vieques. I’m grabbing different things I’ve written over time and posting them there, and writing new things to add as I have time and inspiration.

Of course, you may unsubscribe at any time you like, but I’m hoping you will take the time to comment and add your words to mine so we can have some fun together.

How to  Comment on a Blog

Comment As a Guest

You can write your comment. When you do, a popup form will appear asking for your name, email address, and website (optional). Click on I’m not a robot, and then POST COMMENT. Your comment will go to the moderator for approval. You will receive a notification when it has been approved.

Comment As a Subscriber

If you would like to read what others have to say, you can subscribe by choosing one of two options.

• • Subscribe to all comments of this post  –  (notify of “new follow-up comments”)
• • Subscribe to all replies to my comments – (notify of “new replies to my comments”)

To choose this option, pull down on the little arrow in the top left corner where it says SUBSCRIBE.  Type in your email address, and then click on the arrow in the green box to the right. You will be asked to confirm your subscription (a confirmation email will be sent). You may also be asked to choose a password.

Login for subscribers

For future comments, if you have subscribed, you can login. Click the login link in the upper right of the comments section. You will need to choose a password.

Unsubscribe

There is an icon-button (bell) located on the left side of the [Post Comment] button. You can disable this subscription type by disabling this option. Or you can click on the person icon next to the word COMMENTS and make a selection.
